Muscat: The General Secretariat of the Tender Board urged private sector companies in the Sultanate to register on the electronic platform for managing government tenders and procurement of the state’s administrative apparatus units. The Isnad platform enhances the competitiveness and transparency in the awarding process , by issuing government tenders and procurement and monitoring the competing of the registered bidders in the platform in accordance with a systematic basis and a transparent process to ensure the right to compete for these tenders.
As a support for the small and medium enterprises SMEs, which obtained the entrepreneurship card from the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, these enterprises have been exempted from registration fees on the Isnad website for electronic tenders till 22/08/2023.
Registering on Isnad enables the private sector companies to increase their chances of obtaining tenders and procurement in the government and private sectors, as well as to acquiring technical and administrative experiences in submitting bids for tenders and procurement through working with government entities and the private sector companies.

Registering on this platform also provides the chances of taking advantage of indirect business opportunities through other companies that have obtained contracts, in addition to benefiting from training and qualification opportunities in big companies.
During the registration, the category in which the institution wishes to register with the General Secretariat of the Tender Board is to be selected, and the activities in which it would like to register have to be selected too, along with the degree in which the company/enterprise would like to register in the General Secretariat of the Tender Board, provided that it is not higher than the degree registered in the its certificate issued by Oman chamber of Commerce .
