MUSCAT : The project was a step forward in promoting food security, introducing new varieties of fruit and providing support to farmers through technical guidance and advanced technologies.
Eng. Said bin Mohammed Al Adawi, Director of the Agricultural Development Department at the Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in North Al Batinah Governorate, said, “This initiative reflects the strategic goals made by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources to develop the fruit production sector in a manner that ensures improved productivity and supports local farmers.”
Al Adawi pointed out that the project met with success in converting agricultural areas into farm areas of high economic viability. He added that this approach contributes to supplying local markets with high-quality national products and localizing modern farming systems.
