MUSCAT: The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the centre’s legislative, regulatory and operational framework, with a focus on strengthening Oman’s investment appeal and developing a stable and competitive business environment capable of attracting investment and global financial institutions.
The board also discussed efforts to advance the centre’s role within Oman’s broader economic diversification strategy and strengthen the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a global hub for financial services.
The establishment of the International Financial Centre of Oman was approved under Royal Decree No. 8/2026 as part of the country’s strategic efforts to diversify the national economy, attract capital and support innovation in the financial services sector.
