MUSCAT : Highlighting recent progress on visa facilitation for Pakistani nationals, His Excellency Syed Bokhari stated: “I would like to share through your platform the good news that just very recently – about a couple of days ago – the government of Oman agreed to our request to open visas for eleven categories of professionals, which basically encompasses all the major professions.”
His Excellency Syed Bokhari described the development as a positive step towards the ultimate goal of lifting all restrictions. He also expressed optimism about an upcoming announcement that will facilitate visas for Pakistani businessmen looking to explore opportunities in the Omani market.
“Obviously, the ultimate goal is to have all these restrictions lifted,” he emphasised. “That might take a few more weeks or months, but that is the ultimate goal and we are on the right trajectory. We are moving in the right direction…”

He added that in addition to professionals and businessmen, visas for semi-skilled and unskilled workers are expected to be opened in the near future.
