MUSCAT: The weather conditions are linked to the influence of an easterly trough over the Sultanate of Oman, which may support the development of local cloud formations and associated thunderstorm activity in some areas.
Oman Meteorology said the intensity of the weather activity is expected to vary over the coming days, with the potential for rainfall of varying intensity, wadi and stream flows, lightning strikes and occasional hail.
The forecast also includes the possibility of reduced horizontal visibility, downdraft winds and dust in affected areas.
