Oman’s commerce ministry registers 90 conformity assessment bodies in 2024

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion has announced that the Directorate General of Standards and Metrology has registered 90 conformity assessment bodies between January and October 2024

Muscat – This achievement is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Oman’s quality infrastructure and enhance its evaluation and conformity assessment capabilities.

The 90 registered bodies include a diverse range of entities designed to ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of products and services across various sectors. Among them, 43 are testing laboratories, 21 are inspection bodies, 13 are certification bodies, and 13 are calibration laboratories.
