COVID-19: Oman allows events with 70% capacity

MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee on Wednesday eased some Covid-related restrictions in the country, allowing halls to conduct events including conferences and activities of public nature with 70% capacity.

Earlier, the committee had reduced the capacity of event halls to 50% due to Covid-19.

“Allowing the activities of the halls to operate at 70% of their capacity, provided that all attendees receive the Covid-19 vaccine, and adhere to all preventive measures and requirements,” the committee stated.

The committee also allowed holding both local and international conferences with 70% of the capacity of the venue. The committee also said government offices will now work 100%. Earlier in the wake of rising coronavirus cases the committee had said only 50% employees to be allowed in government sector.
