MUSCAT : According to the Astronomical Affairs Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the eclipse will be visible in Oman from 5:23 am to 5:43 am, ending as the Moon sets.
The department said any change in the moon’s appearance may be difficult to detect because the penumbral effect is faint and will coincide with dawn, while the Moon will be close to the horizon.
A partial lunar eclipse will occur globally on the same day, with various phases visible from parts of Europe, western Asia, Africa, North America, South America, the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans, and Antarctica, according to the ministry.
The Astronomical Affairs Department said Oman will not witness the partial phase of the eclipse, with only the penumbral phase visible before moonset.
