TEHRAN : Oman’s Foreign Minister His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi held talks with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Tuesday, with discussions focusing on arrangements for the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
Al Busaidi arrived in the Iranian capital earlier in the day for talks with Araghchi and other senior Iranian officials.
The two foreign ministers discussed the latest understandings between Muscat and Tehran, including an agreement to designate a specific waterway in the Strait of Hormuz to facilitate the safe passage of vessels.

The talks also reviewed progress on agreements reached between Oman and Iran concerning the arrangement.
Albusaidi is expected to meet several other senior Iranian officials during his visit to Tehran.
