MUSCAT — Wilayat of Bahla recorded the highest rainfall in Oman at 153mm over the past four days, as a low-pressure system brought widespread showers across several regions, according to data released by the Oman News Agency.

Barka followed with 137mm of rainfall, while Bausher recorded 112mm during the same period.

The rainfall, recorded from March 20 until Tuesday, reflects the intensity of the unstable weather conditions affecting multiple parts of the country.

Authorities said the downpours led to overflowing wadis and water accumulation in low-lying areas, disrupting traffic movement and increasing safety risks.

Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority has warned that unstable weather conditions may persist, with thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds expected in some areas. Residents have been urged to remain cautious and avoid crossing flooded wadis.
