TEHRAN : According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, Iranian authorities have issued permits allowing ships transporting basic goods and humanitarian supplies to transit through the Strait of Hormuz. The move comes as part of efforts to facilitate the flow of essential aid while maintaining oversight in one of the world’s most critical maritime routes.
The authorisation is specifically limited to vessels heading towards Iranian ports or those located in the Sea of Oman, indicating a selective easing of transit restrictions.
