Manama: The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said in a statement that Iran had carried out “heinous attacks” targeting civilians in Bahrain, but that the threats were successfully intercepted.
“The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announces that Iran continues its systematic aggression through its heinous attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” the statement said.
The military added that the deliberate use of missiles and drones against civilian areas and private property was a “flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.” Bahrain has previously accused Iran of launching missile and drone strikes targeting civilian areas, with its air defence systems intercepting several attacks.
