Europcar Open Golf Challenge celebrates its seventh edition

After the tremendous success of the last six editions of the Europcar Open, the seventh edition promised to be even more enthralling.

Muscat: One of the most looked forward annual golf events in the country, the seventh edition of the Europcar Open Golf Challenge was held on Friday, December 6th, 2019, at the Al Mouj Golf Course. With 132 passionate golfers from different clubs who swung their clubs to some challenging holes, the tournament climaxed in an evening of celebrations with the presentation of the grand trophy and a host of other prizes for numerous winners in different categories. 

After the tremendous success of the last six editions of the Europcar Open, the seventh edition promised to be even more enthralling. 

The guests of honor for the evening prize distribution ceremony were Marcus Bernhardt, Managing Director Europcar International and Member of Executive Board with Rishi Khimji, Managing Director Asha Enterprises LLC. 

The title sponsor for this prime corporate Golfing event is Europcar Oman partnered by Mistal Watches. The event was also jointly powered by Mitsubishi Motors and Al Ahlia Insurance. Travelex the foreign exchange partner, Travel point the travel partner, Amex the Lifestyle partner, Kempinski the hotel partner, Al Seeb Technical Est. (SARCO) the electronics partner, WHSmith the retail partner, and African & Eastern the beverage partner. The tournament was also supported by Sea Oman, Mumtaz Mahal and Woodlands restaurant.

The winner for Division A – Gross winner – was Tenzin Tsarong. While the winner of Division A – Stableford – was Brett Merrell. The winner of Division B – was Hamish Gourlay. In the women’s category, Lynn Casey walked away as the winner. The Europcar Open 2019 Interclub Championship was won by Ras Al Hamra golf club.
