Rabat: The decisive moment came in the 64th minute when Ibrahim Diaz found the back of the net to seal the win for the Morocco national football team. The strike took Diaz’s tally to four goals in the tournament, underlining his key role in Morocco’s campaign so far.
Tanzania battled hard but were unable to break through a disciplined Moroccan defence, as the Atlas Lions controlled proceedings and held on for a crucial knockout-stage victory.
Morocco will now face the winner of the clash between South Africa national football team and Cameroon national football team, scheduled to be played later.
