MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday witnessed a partial solar eclipse in a number of wilayats which brought out scores of both the general public and researchers to observe for about 110 minutes.
The Earth witnessed a partial solar eclipse on Tuesday and in the Sultanate it started from 2.40 pm while peaking at 3:57pm in Muscat, the national capital.
It began at 3:03pm in other wilayats like Salalah, peaking at 4:03 pm, in Nizwa wilayat of Al Dakhiliyah governorate when it began at 2:50 pm and peaked at at 3:57 pm and in Sohar wialayat of North Al Batinah governorate where it began at 2:45 pm and peaked at 3:54 pm.

As expected there were no effects or changes in the weather conditions after the eclipse as this is a routine phenomenon and occurs at intervals.
Solar eclipse occurs when the moon blocks the sun either in part or in totality, as seen from Earth.
This is last of eclipse this year following the first eclipse which occurred on April 30.
