MUSCAT : The Directorate General of Consumer Protection in Dhofar Governorate, in cooperation with Dhofar Municipality, seized 2,763kg of expired fish during an inspection of a commercial establishment.
According to the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), inspectors also detected manipulation of the production and expiry dates displayed on the products. The violations were found to be in breach of the Consumer Protection Law and regulations governing the circulation of food products.
The necessary legal measures have been initiated against the violating establishment, while the seized products have been held in accordance with applicable procedures.
