MUSCAT: As part of the knowledge-sharing platform commitment to giving back to society, Knowledge Oman, the leading knowledge-sharing social initiative in the Sultanate, in association with Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the largest global jewellery retailers in the Sultanate, have jointly collaborated to distribute Iftar meals and food provision to the needy families and homes in Al Amerat.
“We have engaged community members by collaborating with the respected Malabar Gold & Diamonds to seek, identify and visit needy homes to distribute iftar meals. The activity helps our members to learn about the values and impact of giving in a personal and professional capacity.” said Knowledge Oman President, Balqees Al Hassani.
Malabar Gold & Diamonds have partnered with regional associations that include embassies, and like-minded organizations in GCC and Far East to distribute Iftar meals and food provision kits to deserving laborers and families. Knowledge Oman as part of its commitment to giving back during the month of Ramadhan has partnered with Malabar to jointly support the mission.

“CSR remains a core value at Malabar Gold & Diamonds ever since its inception in 1993 and contributing to the community has been a key part of the company’s ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) goals. Ramadan is usually the time we reflect on our actions and contribute to society in whatever way possible. Every year during Ramadan, we engage in various CSR initiatives, aiming to create a difference in the community in and around our area of operations and to drive other organizations, both big and small to initiate such activities that will help the needy” said Mr. Abdul Salam KP, Vice Chairman – Malabar Group.
As part of the Knowledge Oman giving back programme, Knowledge Oman has visited Sultan Qaboos University Hospital to distribute gifts to the patients, help setup up children library in Muscat & Musannah, support the blind association with IT labs, donate gifts and spend time with the elderly at the Rustaq care home, distributing food during Ramadan and supporting the International Volunteers Initiative from idea to launch.
