MUSCAT: The ambitious Hayy Al Sharq project — Oman’s first leisure and entertainment theme park in wilayat Barka is set to complete at the beginning of 2024, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said.
Developed by Asaas, Hayy Al Sharq, a world-class multi-cluster 1.5 million square meter theme park, anchored by an integrated amusement park, and edutainment centre, while also featuring a collection of hotels, residential clusters, and a wide array of dining and leisure options.
On Tuesday, His Excellency Salim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism visited the project site to evaluate the work. “During the Minister’s visit, the project components, implementation mechanisms and completion stages were presented,” Asaas said in a statement on Twitter.

“The Hayy Al Sharq project and the Oman Botanical Garden are in a path to add a new equation in the tourism and entertainment sector to meet the various demands and experiences,” Al Mahrouqi said.
