Oman’s Royal Hospital opens nominations for community representative on its board

Royal Hospital has opened nominations for a community representative to join its Board of Directors to strengthen community participation and ensure the voices of patients and the wider community are reflected in the hospital’s services.

MUSCAT: The hospital said the selected representative will serve a voluntary two-year term and contribute to improving healthcare services, enhancing the patient experience and strengthening engagement with the community. One community representative will be selected.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate an interest in developing health services and the patient experience, along with community involvement, contributions or volunteer experience. They should also be able to communicate effectively and represent community views objectively, while being prepared to participate actively and meet the responsibilities of board membership.
Applicants are required to submit an up-to-date brief CV, a statement of no more than 250 words outlining their motivation for applying and the value they could bring to the role, as well as a practical proposal for improving the patient experience or strengthening community engagement.
Applications and the required documents must be submitted by October 8, 2026, to mohammed.s.allamki@moh.gov.om.
The community representative will serve for two years on a voluntary basis.
