MUSCAT: Oman is set to participate in WorldFood Moscow 2026 with 16 Omani companies, as part of efforts to open new markets for national products and strengthen the competitiveness of the country’s non-oil exports.
The four-day exhibition will be held in Moscow from September 15 to 18 and is one of the major international platforms for the food and beverage industry, bringing together manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, retail chains and hospitality sector representatives.
Oman’s participation is being led by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, represented by Oman Exports, with a focus on linking Omani companies with international importers, distributors and buyers.

The participating companies will seek to highlight the diversity and quality of Omani products, explore new distribution channels and establish commercial ties with retailers, restaurants, hotels and other buyers.
The initiative will also promote Oman as a reliable source of food and halal products and is expected to support greater penetration of Omani products into Russia and neighbouring Central Asian markets.
Zakia bint Abdullah Al-Amri, Trade Information Specialist at Oman Exports, said the exhibition represents an important opportunity to strengthen the presence of Omani products in a promising international market.
She said the participation would allow national companies to communicate directly with importers, distributors and international buyers, while exploring new export opportunities and building sustainable trade partnerships.
According to Al-Amri, Oman Exports continues to support national companies through participation in key international exhibitions and by connecting exporters with commercial opportunities in targeted markets.
She expressed hope that business meetings held during the exhibition would translate into export deals and long-term partnerships, contributing to the continued growth of Oman’s non-oil exports.
Al-Amri said the Russian market had been selected because of its potential for Omani products, particularly in the food sector.
She added that the latest participation builds on positive results from the previous edition of the exhibition, which helped facilitate trade deals and establish strategic partnerships with suppliers and agents in Russia.
Oman’s presence at WorldFood Moscow also forms part of Oman Exports’ wider programme of international exhibitions and events planned for 2026 and 2027, aimed at expanding the market base for national products and enabling Omani businesses to develop sustainable global partnerships.
WorldFood Moscow 2026 will be held at Crocus Expo in Moscow and is expected to feature more than 1,100 exhibitors from over 30 countries, covering 16 product sectors. The exhibition attracts tens of thousands of professionals from retail, wholesale, food service and distribution, with organisers reporting more than 26,000 industry visitors annually.
