Oman opens applications to recruit Bangladeshi farm workers

Eligible farmers in Oman’s Al Dhahirah Governorate can apply to recruit agricultural workers from Bangladesh under a labour recruitment programme approved by the Ministry of Labour and Royal Oman Police.

MUSCAT : The Oman Agricultural Association’s Al Dhahirah branch has opened applications for registered farmers seeking visas to recruit Bangladeshi workers for the agricultural sector.

The association said the recruitment process is being carried out under approvals issued by the Ministry of Labour and Royal Oman Police.

Applications are limited to registered members of the association’s Al Dhahirah branch who have paid the annual membership fee of RO25.

Applicants are required to submit copies of their agricultural holding, or hiyaza, certificate, national identity card and a valid Ministry of Labour work permit. They must also provide the agricultural cultivation form for the 2026/2027 season, including details of crops and cultivated areas.

Applications will be accepted from August 9 to August 20, 2026, between 8 am and 1 pm during official working hours at the association’s office in Al Murtafa’a, Ibri.
