MUSCAT: The ministry said its ongoing efforts are aimed at ensuring that people with disabilities can participate in employment assessments in a flexible and accessible environment, with appropriate support provided throughout the testing process.
As part of the initiative, the ministry is providing specialised trainers and interpreters during employment tests to offer direct assistance to candidates who require it.
It is also simplifying and explaining test instructions to help ensure that information is understood quickly and clearly, the ministry said.
The ministry stressed the importance of transparency, honesty and accuracy when providing translation and interpretation services, saying information must be conveyed faithfully and without distortion.
The measures form part of the ministry’s broader efforts to facilitate the employment of people with disabilities and create conditions that support equal access to employment opportunities.
