MUSCAT : The ceremony was held under the patronage of His Excellency Zakariya bin Hamad Al Saadi, Ambassador of Oman to Korea, and attended by senior officials from Asyad Shipping and Oman LNG, underscoring cooperation between the country’s maritime and energy sectors.
The two vessels were built at Hyundai Samho Shipyard and are equipped with advanced technologies designed to improve operational efficiency, safety, and environmental performance, reflecting the company’s focus on sustainability and innovation.


Dr. Ibrahim bin Bakheet Al Nadhiri, CEO of Asyad Shipping, described the launch of the carriers as “a new milestone in our growth journey” and said it reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening Oman’s global standing in the maritime and energy sectors through reliable and sustainable transport solutions.
The naming of the vessels forms part of Asyad Shipping’s broader strategy to expand its LNG fleet in response to growing global demand for energy transportation and to support Oman’s ambitions in international maritime trade.
