MUSCAT – The Civil Aviation Authority has issued a weather warning regarding active northerly to northwesterly winds expected to affect the northern governorates of the Sultanate of Oman starting Wednesday evening, February 25, 2026, and continuing for several days.
According to the authority, the wind activity is forecast to cause moderate sea conditions along the coasts of the Sultanate, with wave heights reaching up to 2.0 meters.
The authority also warned of dust and sandstorms in desert and open areas as a result of the strong winds, which may lead to reduced horizontal visibility. A relative drop in temperatures is also expected during the period.
