MUSCAT : The Ministry has invited researchers and postgraduate thesis holders to take part in the Scientific Forum titled “Digital Citizenship: A Scientific Perspective Between Reality and Future Prospects.”
The forum aims to enrich scientific dialogue and contribute to the development of knowledge in the field of digital citizenship.
The Ministry stated that participation is open to holders of approved doctoral and master’s theses, as well as authors of scientific research published in peer-reviewed journals. Submissions must have been published within the past five years (2021–2025), with the possibility of exception for studies of special scientific value with the approval of the Scientific Committee.
Researchers are required to submit a scientific abstract of between 250 and 500 words outlining the study problem, objectives, methodology, key findings, and keywords, along with a Word-format copy of the work. All submissions must align with the forum’s specified scientific themes and will undergo evaluation by the Scientific Committee based on quality and relevance standards.
The Ministry noted that the deadline for receiving submissions is Sunday, February 15, 2026, with applicants to be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance by the end of March 2026. Accepted contributions will be presented as brief scientific presentations, not exceeding 15 minutes, during the forum scheduled to take place in June 2026.
The forum seeks to promote the exchange of expertise in digital citizenship, enhance family and community awareness of safe digital practices, and analyse the role of digital citizenship in community building.
The Ministry emphasised that late or incomplete submissions will not be considered, and that submitting an application constitutes acknowledgment of the accuracy of the information provided. Interested participants may register through the official Ministry link, while inquiries can be directed to 24962404 or 24962427.
