MUSCAT: One person was killed and nine others were injured after their vehicle overturned and veered off the road in Oman’s Wilayat of Haima, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said on Saturday.
The accident occurred on Sultan Said bin Taimur Road and involved a vehicle carrying people of Indian nationality, police said.
The ROP said one person died in the accident, while nine others sustained injuries of varying severity.

Two of the injured were airlifted by Royal Oman Police Aviation to Nizwa Hospital for further treatment.
The remaining injured passengers were transported by ambulances to Nizwa Hospital, where they are receiving medical care.
Police did not immediately provide further details on the circumstances that led to the vehicle overturning.
