MUSCAT – The figures reflect the Authority’s ongoing efforts to protect consumer rights and ensure fair trade practices across the Sultanate of Oman.
Muscat Governorate recorded the highest number of complaints, with a total of 9,515 – more than half of all reported cases – due to its high population density and elevated commercial activity.
It was followed by North Al Batinah Governorate with 2,539 complaints, and South Al Batinah (Barka) with 1,107. South Al Sharqiyah recorded 719 complaints, while Al Dakhiliyah reported 681, and Dhofar received 555 complaints.
The remaining complaints were distributed as follows:
North Al Sharqiyah – 392 complaints
Al Dhahirah – 458
Al Buraimi – 546
South Al Batinah (Rustaq) – 358
Musandam (Khasab) – 20
Al Wusta – 19
Musandam (Dibba) – 6.

Notably, the Al Mazyunah office recorded zero complaints during the same period.
These figures reflect consumers’ engagement with the Authority’s communication channels and their trust in its role in protecting their rights. It also reaffirms the Authority’s commitment to strengthening public confidence in the consumer protection system and upholding the principles of transparency and integrity in the marketplace.
The CPA continues to receive complaints through its branches in all governorates, as well as via its digital platforms, underscoring the importance of community collaboration in maintaining a safe and equitable marketplace.
