MUSCAT – According to Khater bin Ali Al Maamari, Executive Director of Shinas Port, total cargo handled by the port reached 360,556 tons. Imports accounted for 353,735 tons, while exports totalled 6,821 tons during the six-month period.
He highlighted that the port received a wide range of imported goods, including 14,121 tons of building and construction materials, 604 tons of food products, 1,236 tons of general cargo, and 2,350 heads of livestock and camels.

On the export side, the port handled 40 tons of building materials, 4,040 tons of general cargo, and the export of 41,655 heads of livestock and camels.
Al Maamari noted that Shinas Port is steadily advancing its position as a key hub in regional and international maritime logistics, supporting multiple economic sectors. He emphasized the port’s ongoing collaboration with national institutions, stating that several agreements have been signed recently with Omani companies to enhance their participation in the maritime transport and logistics sectors.
