MUSCAT : Dr. Anju Mullath, a young Indian gastroenterologist worked at Aster Royal Al Raffah Hospital in Muscat, who colleagues say faced her cancer diagnosis with exceptional courage, has lost her battle with the disease, passing away in India at the age of 38.
Dr. Mullath, a native of Malappuram who had been residing in Kochi, served as a Specialist Gastroenterologist at the hospital. She was diagnosed with the illness a year ago.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Murali Krishnan, a physician at a military hospital in India, and their daughter Gauri, a student at an Indian school in Muscat.
