MUSCAT : The meeting, chaired by Mohammed bin Abdulhussein Baqir on the Omani side and Jamal Razeqi on the Iranian side, focused on several key initiatives aimed at boosting bilateral trade and fostering innovation.
A significant part of the discussion revolved around the development of a smart electronic platform, which is set to be launched in the coming months. This platform is designed to streamline and improve commercial operations between the two countries, providing innovative solutions that will expedite procedures and facilitate smoother business transactions.
The meeting also explored the possibility of allocating spaces in Oman for Iranian companies specialising in innovation and knowledge-based industries, further solidifying the economic ties between the two nations.
Another key topic covered during the meeting was enhancing cooperation in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, health products, and food. Additionally, discussions included the potential for establishing a direct shipping line between Oman and Iran, which could significantly improve trade and logistics between the two countries.
