MUSCAT: Oman recorded its highest temperature of 46.2°C in Al Sunainah over the past 24 hours, according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
CAA meteorological stations recorded 46°C in Muqshin, while Hamra Al Droaa reached 45.5°C. Haima and Ibri each recorded 45.3°C.
Temperatures also climbed to 45.1°C in Marmul and Dima Wattayeen, while Al Kamil Wal Wafi, Al Buraimi and Mukhaizna recorded 45°C. Fahud registered 44.9°C.

The readings were recorded during the 24 hours ending on Sunday, Aug. 23, highlighting the intense summer heat across several parts of Oman.
