MUSCAT: Oman’s weather authorities have forecast the development of cumulus clouds over parts of the Hajar Mountains and adjacent areas, bringing the possibility of thunderstorms of varying intensity accompanied by active downdraft winds.
The weather conditions could also lead to the flow of wadis and valleys in parts of the Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas, authorities said.
Residents and motorists have been urged to exercise caution, particularly near wadis and low-lying areas during periods of thunderstorm activity.
