MUSCAT: The ROP stressed that every journey should end safely, reminding motorists that adhering to traffic laws is the key to protecting lives.
The police highlighted several important safety measures, including staying in the correct lane, maintaining a clean vehicle to ensure clear visibility, and avoiding unnecessary vehicle noise that could disturb the peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by residents and tourists.
The ROP also advised passengers to remain inside their vehicles where appropriate, emphasising that staying inside the vehicle is the safer option in many situations.

The advisory forms part of the Royal Oman Police’s ongoing awareness campaign during the Dhofar Khareef season, which sees a significant increase in traffic as visitors from across Oman and abroad travel to the governorate to enjoy its cooler climate and seasonal attractions.
