MUSCAT : Indian schools across Oman will conduct online classes for students from Kindergarten to Grade II for one week after the Board of Directors ordered the temporary measure in response to prevailing weather conditions.
In a directive issued to principals, the Board said classes for students from Kindergarten to Grade II will be held online from Sunday, August 2, to Thursday, August 6, following the advice of the Chairman of the Board.
The directive also instructed all teachers handling these classes to report to their respective schools and conduct lessons remotely from the school premises to ensure the continuity of academic activities.

The decision comes amid intense summer heat across Oman, with temperatures in several parts of the country climbing well above 45°C in recent days, raising concerns over the safety and wellbeing of young children travelling to and from school.
The Arabian Stories first reported last month on growing concerns among parents over the reopening of Indian schools during the peak summer period, highlighting calls for measures to protect students from extreme heat. The report sparked widespread public discussion online.
The arrangement will remain in place until August 6, after which schools are expected to resume normal classroom instruction unless further directives are issued.
