MUSCAT : An Omani court has fined a door installation company in South Al Batinah for failing to issue an invoice in Arabic to a consumer, in breach of consumer protection regulations, the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) said.
The court also found the company had failed to complete installation work within the agreed timeframe after the customer paid in advance for external doors for a hall and a majlis.
According to the CPA, the work was due to be completed within 45 days, but the company failed to fulfil its contractual obligations.

The court imposed fines totalling OMR500 on the establishment and ordered the company and its legal representative to bear the costs of the criminal proceedings, the authority said.
