MUSCAT – The recognition, awarded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, honours projects and facilities that meet the stringent standards outlined in the Oman Building Code (OBC) Manual.
The latest achievement adds to the Garden’s growing portfolio of international sustainability accolades. The Dhofar Mountains Biome recorded an impressive 86 points under the LEED Platinum certification in the Building Design and Construction category — the highest score achieved within the Garden’s facilities.
With this accomplishment, the biome joins three other on-site buildings at Oman Botanic Garden that have also secured the prestigious LEED Platinum rating, reinforcing the project’s position as a flagship model for environmentally responsible design and construction in the Sultanate.
