MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik is set to visit North and South Al Sharqiyah governorates as part of his continued tours across the Sultanate to follow up on development priorities and regional progress.
Both governorates have announced their readiness to welcome His Majesty, describing the royal visit as a reflection of his continued attention to the governorates and his commitment to strengthening comprehensive development across the Sultanate.
Officials in North Al Sharqiyah said the governorate was honoured by the visit and that preparations were underway to receive His Majesty, highlighting the visit as a moment of pride that reinforces the journey of development and deepens the values of loyalty and belonging.

South Al Sharqiyah also expressed pride and honour in welcoming the royal visit, saying it renews the meanings of loyalty and strengthens the path of development and nation-building with confidence and renewed commitment.
The visit is expected to include meetings with senior officials, local authorities and citizens, while reviewing key infrastructure and development projects aimed at enhancing economic growth and public services in both governorates.
North and South Al Sharqiyah are among Oman’s strategically important regions, contributing significantly to fisheries, tourism, logistics, agriculture, trade and industrial development, while supporting the country’s broader economic diversification goals under Oman Vision 2040.
