MUSCAT – The platform enables researchers, academics, and industry professionals to search, reserve, and utilize equipment housed in universities, research centres, national laboratories, government entities, and the industrial sector through a single integrated interface. The system will streamline access to specialised laboratory facilities nationwide while improving the efficiency of existing research infrastructure.
Mueadaat introduces features such as real-time equipment availability tracking, user access management, and integration with institutional approval and reporting processes, ensuring smoother coordination between entities and faster turnaround for research activities.
The initiative is aligned with Oman Vision 2040, supporting the country’s push toward a knowledge-based economy by enhancing collaboration, optimizing investments in scientific equipment, and accelerating innovation. It is also expected to contribute to improving Oman’s standing in global innovation indices by maximizing the use of national research assets.
The platform is designed to serve a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including university researchers and academics; industrial players seeking access to high-precision equipment without capital investment; government entities managing laboratories and scientific programmes; policymakers shaping research and development strategies; funding organisations assessing infrastructure investment priorities; and innovators and individuals engaged in research and development.
