MUSCAT – The agreements cover key sectors including mineral exploration, energy infrastructure, and renewable power development.
They include collaboration in mineral exploration projects, as well as the development and operation of two petroleum product storage facilities – one located in the coastal region of Namibia and another in Botswana. They also cover the development, construction, and financing of a 500-megawatt photovoltaic solar power plant with an integrated battery storage system in Maun, Botswana.
The signing ceremony took place during the official working visit of President to Oman, during which His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received the visiting delegation and held a session of talks focused on expanding bilateral cooperation across various fields of mutual interest.
