MUSCAT : Class XII board examinations for Indian schools in Oman scheduled from March 5 to March 16, 2026, have been postponed due to the prevailing situation in the Middle East.
In a circular issued to parents and students, schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said the postponement may create anxiety and uncertainty, particularly regarding academic plans, higher education prospects and competitive examinations such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
To support students during this period, the schools said counselling services and academic guidance will be provided. School counsellors will be available for individual sessions and tele-counselling to offer guidance, reassurance and stress-management support.
Teachers will also continue assisting students in using the additional time to strengthen their preparation for the examinations.
Schools have urged parents to encourage students to remain focused, maintain a balanced routine and use the extended preparation period productively.
Any official update on rescheduled examination dates will be communicated once further information is received from the CBSE, the circular added.
