MUSCAT : The Al Dakhiliyah Governorate witnessed the signing of a multi-party cooperation agreement bringing together Al Sharqiyah Helicopter Aviation Company, the Oman Across the Ages Museum, Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel and Al Dar Lodge.
The agreement, signed under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed Al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, underscores a strengthened partnership between the public and private sectors to support the growing tourism movement in the governorate. It will facilitate aerial transport between sites including the Oman Across Ages Museum and Wilayat Nizwa.
Under the terms of the memorandum, the Oman Across the Ages Museum will provide enriched cultural and educational experiences tailored for Al Sharqiyah Air customers. In return, the aviation company will operate tourist and private flights exclusively dedicated to museum guests. The agreement also extends to the joint organisation of events and the provision of emergency air ambulance services when required.

His Excellency the Governor described the agreement as a “significant addition” to ongoing efforts to develop Al Dakhiliyah’s tourism sector and integrate cultural, service and logistical facilities. He emphasised that the governorate’s rich historical and natural assets demand innovative initiatives such as these, noting that the partnership aligns closely with Oman Vision 2040’s goals for modern, sustainable transport linked to tourism hubs.
He stressed that helicopter services will not only ease movement between major attractions but will also open new avenues for experiential and specialised tourism, while reinforcing the role of the private sector in stimulating economic activity.
Engineer Al-Yaqdhan bin Abdullah Al-Harthi, Director General of the Oman Across the Ages Museum, said the initiative will add “a new dimension” to the museum’s visitor experience by pairing cultural discovery with introductory air tours that showcase the region’s heritage from above.
Faris bin Ali Al-Hadi, Senior Business Development Officer at Al Sharqiyah Helicopter Aviation Company, added that the partnership reflects the growing confidence in modern air transport solutions. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding safe, high-quality tourism services that enhance the overall visitor journey in Al Dakhiliyah.
