MUSCAT — The Muscat Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Special Tasks Police Unit in Bawshar, has detained 32 motorists for causing disturbance and violating public order.
According to the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the drivers were stopped for engaging in behaviours that disrupted traffic and disturbed public comfort, including generating loud and annoying noises from their vehicle exhausts. The violations took place in the Al Qurum and Al-Sarooj areas.
Authorities confirmed that legal procedures against the offenders are underway as part of ongoing efforts to ensure road safety and maintain public peace.
