MUSCAT : This initiative is designed to empower educators and enhance student learning experiences. Teachers will be equipped with AI tools for tasks such as lesson planning, grading, and content creation, allowing them to dedicate more time to direct student interaction and personalised instruction.
Students will benefit from immersive learning tools designed to boost digital fluency, critical thinking, and collaborative skills, while school leaders and administrators will gain access to performance data and insights that can help drive innovation and efficiency across the education system.
The announcement was made during Microsoft’s participation at COMEX 2025, where the company showcased various AI applications in the Sultanate’s public and private sectors.
The new programme will be rolled out across both urban and remote schools, ensuring equitable access to technology for all students. It is aligned with Oman Vision 2040, which aims to create a knowledge-based society powered by innovation and digital transformation.
The rollout builds on the ministry’s longstanding digital partnership with Microsoft, which began in 2020 and includes teacher training, blended learning models, and youth-focused initiatives such as DigiGirlz.
