MUSCAT: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has announced a court ruling against a commercial establishment in Sohar engaged in the manufacturing and installation of doors and windows after it failed to provide services in accordance with agreed standards.
According to the CPA, the supplier did not deliver the service properly and in conformity with its nature, prompting legal action from affected consumers.
The court issued a judgment that included the imprisonment of the supplier along with the imposition of financial penalties. The ruling underscores the CPA’s commitment to safeguarding consumer rights and holding violators accountable under Oman’s consumer protection laws.

The Authority reaffirmed that it will continue to monitor and take action against businesses that fail to comply with regulations, stressing the importance of fair trade practices and quality service to protect consumers.
