The Fund’s efforts were not limited to providing financial support alone, but also included an integrated system of innovative and facilitated services. The total number of services provided reached 3,120, including 246 field services that are completed by phone or through various communication methods without the need for personal attendance, thus saving time and effort for beneficiaries. The Fund also provided 2,792 self-services that are implemented through the headquarters or electronic portals, utilising digital transformation technologies.
In addition, the Fund implemented 47 awareness and outreach activities, such as workshops and public engagements to raise awareness of social protection rights and services; and offered 35 proactive services, including media campaigns and anticipatory service planning based on beneficiary needs.
To further improve service delivery, the Social Protection Fund’s branch in South Al Batinah has relocated to a modern, purpose-built facility. The new premises are designed to be fully accessible, particularly for people with disabilities, with inclusive infrastructure such as adapted corridors and service areas.
The Fund also actively engages with the local community, participating in events and initiatives that strengthen its humanitarian and developmental role.
Yousef bin Salem Al Adawi, Director of the Social Protection Department in South Al Batinah, emphasised that the Fund’s work goes beyond financial and procedural services. He also highlighted recent community involvement, including participation in the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, organized by Rustaq Hospital, and the launch of the ‘Colour Your Summer’ initiative aimed at encouraging creativity among children. He noted that several meetings were also held with His Excellency the Governor of South Al Batinah and other officials to discuss the evolving social protection framework.
The Fund’s administrators emphasise that the next phase will witness an expansion in the scope of services and increased partnerships with various government, private, and civil society sectors to strengthen the social protection system and achieve the principle of sustainable support.
