Muscat: The announcement, made in conjunction with World Autism Spectrum Disorder Day, underscores His Majesty’s ongoing dedication to providing high-quality, accessible services that promote independence and social integration for individuals with autism. The new center will be affiliated with the National Autism Center and constructed in the Wilayat of Seeb, with a planned area of 26,000 square meters and a capacity of 150 cases per day.
The facility is expected to be the first of its kind in the Middle East in terms of service diversity, offering a comprehensive suite of care, including specialized rehabilitation halls, diagnostic and early assessment services, and tailored entertainment and training programs. Services will be available not only to enrolled individuals but also to non-enrolled visitors at scheduled times.
Beyond care, the center will serve as the central authority for training and licensing autism specialists across Oman and will provide ongoing support and education to families of individuals with autism spectrum disorder in all governorates.
