Muscat: Indian School Khasab celebrated its Annual Day 2024-25 with a vibrant showcase of talent and culture at the Khasab Sports and Cultural Club on Thursday, February 6, 2025. The event was graced by Dr. Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, as the Chief Guest, along with distinguished Guests of Honour, Mr. Sirajudeen Nhelat, Director of the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman and Director-in-Charge of Indian School Khasab, and Mr. Hamed Ibrahim Mohammed Al Shehi, General Manager of Khasab Municipality.

The celebrations commenced with a warm welcome by Head Boy, Master Mahmood Rayyan. This was followed by the Presidential Address by Mr. Abdulla Thalangara, President of the School Management Committee , who encouraged students to strive for excellence. He was joined by SMC Convenor Mr. Shanmugam, SMC Treasurer Mr. Yasir K.P, and SMC Members Mr. Majeed P.K and Mr. Akhil. Principal Mrs. Bindhu Saji then presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s achievements and key events of the academic year 2024-25.

In his address, Chief Guest Dr. Sivakumar Manickam praised Indian School Khasab for being a beacon of education for 35 years in Khasab. He urged students to seize every opportunity for learning and growth. He also launched the school’s e-magazine, Beyond Books, which showcases students’ academic and creative accomplishments. Guest of Honour Mr. Sirajudeen Nhelat emphasized the importance of technological literacy, encouraging students to become adept in an increasingly digital world.
A special presentation, “Glimpses of ISK 2024-25”, offered a visual recap of the year’s most memorable moments. The event was further enriched by spectacular cultural performances, including fusion and traditional dance routines, which captivated the audience.
The prize distribution ceremony honoured outstanding students and faculty. Mr. Ahammed C. A., Academic Coordinator and Faculty of Science, received the Navin Asher Kazi Award for Excellence in Teaching, along with a certificate of recognition for his contributions.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Head Girl, Miss Zehna Shabeer, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success. A significant highlight of the evening was the release of the school anthem, which resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impression.
The Annual Day 2024-25 was a resounding success, fostering a sense of pride, creativity, and inspiration within the Indian School Khasab community.
