MUSCAT : The ISM@50 Exhibition, Kaleidoscope, at Indian School Muscat was a grand celebration marking 50 years of the school’s excellence in education. This event, organized with significant excitement, showcased the remarkable talents and achievements of students across various fields, reflecting five decades of growth and accomplishments.
Dated 6th and 7th November 2024, the exhibition was inaugurated on 6th November, 2024 at 5 p.m. at the school’s New Multipurpose Hall. The Chief Guest of the evening was Dr. Nooreen Al Balushi, President of Oman Transplantation Society. She is the only lady surgeon to do organ transplantation in Oman. The Guest of Honour Mr. Pardeep Kumar, First Secretary at Embassy of India, Oman, illuminated the event with his gracious presence. They inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon ceremoniously in the presence of esteemed Directors of Board of Directors, Members of the School Management Committee, Principal, Mr Rakesh Joshi, Vice-Principals and other dignitaries.
In her inaugural speech, the Chief Guest, Dr Nooreen Al Balushi, hailed the creativity of the students and teachers. She congratulated the school on completing fifty glorious years of excellence imparting world class education and wished good luck for all its future endeavours. She further mentioned that she felt proud to be a part of the milestone journey of ISM. Following the opening ceremony, the guests visited the Grand Gallery of Memories and 3D miniature of ISM. They also explored the Subject Oriented Exhibitions displayed by the students of Middle and Senior sections which exhibited an array of creativity in the form of innovations at its best. They enjoyed the inspiring exhibits, the fun zones, the activities, enthusiastic participants and above all the overwhelming attendees in each classroom.

As part of Kaleidoscope, students from different grades displayed projects that creatively explored themes in Languages, Science, Technology, Arts, Mathematics, and Culture. The exhibition also featured interactive installations, hands-on experiments, and artistic displays that captivated the audience and demonstrated students’ understanding and appreciation for both modern advancements and traditional knowledge.
The Golden Jubilee Exhibition also included special displays celebrating the school’s history, with sections dedicated to the evolution of the school, past achievements, and the journey of alumni who have made significant contributions in various fields globally. Alongside these, there were cultural performances and presentations that brought forward the diversity and unity within the student body, reflecting the spirit of the Indian community in Muscat.
The digital display highlighted the sentiments of former Principals and staff of ISM who congratulated the school on this grand occasion. The cynosure of the event was the exhilarating performances role-plays, dramas, skits, dances, poetry recitations, songs and many more.
Distinguished guests, including school alumni, parents, and educators, attended to commemorate the school’s legacy. The event not only highlighted the students’ academic and creative prowess but also embodied the spirit of innovation, teamwork, and dedication nurtured at Indian School Muscat over the last fifty years. Overall, the ISM@50 Exhibition – Kaleidoscope was a grand success.
