Muscat: Indian School Al Maabela marked the 14th Anniversary with the prestigious Blood Donation Drive on 2 November 2024. The event was held at Indian School Al Maabela from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm in partnership with the Central Blood Bank Bousher. The event drew enthusiastic participation from school staff and the local community, emphasizing the school’s dedication to social responsibility and community support.

The camp was honored by the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. Pardeep Kumar, First Secretary of Education and Head of Chancery at the Indian Embassy in Oman, and Mr. Syed Salman, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors,  Indian Schools and Director in-charge ISAM.

Other notable attendees included Mr. Krishnendu, Chairperson of the Grievance Committee of Indian Schools and Director in-charge, ISAM and Mr. Shamim Hussain, President, SMC Indian School Al Maabela.

Coordinated by the school’s Principal and Vice-Principal, the event ran smoothly, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and high community engagement. With around 400 registered participants, the camp successfully collected 191 pints of blood, supporting local healthcare facilities and emphasizing the importance of regular blood donations.

The initiative not only commemorated the school’s milestone but also raised awareness about the critical need for blood donation in the healthcare sector. The school community united in compassion and generosity, showcasing the values of service and solidarity that Indian School Al Maabela upholds.

In gratitude, the organizers presented a memento to Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz Ibrahim Al Kashef and certificates of appreciation to the team of the Ministry of Health (MOH) . Donors were acknowledged for their selfless contributions, with Indian School Al Maabela committed to continuing its community service efforts to make a positive impact
