MUSCAT : The Indian Social Club Oman organised a cultural fiesta to celebrate the 76th anniversary of Indian Independence at the Oman Auditorium at Al Bustan Palace-A Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Members of the Indian Social Club along with its linguistic wings performed dances and rendered patriotic songs depicting the unity in diversity of India.
The event started with the national anthem followed by the welcome address by the Honorary. Chairman Mr. Babu Rajendran. In his opening address, Chairman greeted the audience on the anniversary of the India’s independence and thanked all participants for their enthusiastic participation.

Sheikh Anil Khimji, a renowned businessman and a philanthropist was honoured by Indian Social Club Oman for his continuous support to the community.
From vibrant Garba, elegant Odissi, colourful Ghumro to energetic Bhangra, the houseful audience witnessed an amazing medley of wonderfully choreographed dances.
Apart from Troupes from Indian Social Club Oman, members of Awadhi, Odia, Gujarati, Uttaranchal, Tamil, Sanskrit, Hindi, Sindhi, Karnataka, Kutchi, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Telangana, Rajasthani wings performed at the event.
Members of the OPEN MIC group of Indian Social Club Oman performed a medley of patriotic songs, which was much appreciated by the audience.
Mr. Shakeel K.M., Honorary General Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
